Cookies
This page lists what Aberlay collects through your browser and why.
Default state, before you choose
Aberlay does not drop any cookies until you decide. The consent banner at the bottom of the page records your choice. Until then, Google Analytics runs in cookieless mode (Consent Mode v2 default-deny): aggregate pageviews and source attribution, no persistent identifier, no cross-session tracking.
If you accept
On Accept, Google Analytics is granted permission to store its standard cookies. These let Aberlay see returning visitors, session continuity, and a fuller picture of how content performs. The cookies expire on Google's default schedule (typically up to two years for `_ga`, twenty-four hours for `_ga_*`). The IP address is anonymized at collection.
If you decline
On Decline, Aberlay stays in cookieless mode. No analytics cookies. Your choice is recorded in your browser's localStorage so the banner does not return.
What we do not do
No advertising cookies. No third-party trackers. No marketing pixels. No fingerprinting. No cross-site identifiers. No data sold or shared with advertisers.
How to change your choice
Clear your browser's local storage for aberlay.com, then reload the page. The banner will return.
